COVID-19 Precaution

Dear Parents/ Guardian,

Little Brainiacs would like to first emphasize there gratitude and thanks to all of our parents that are taking this pandemic seriously and all the precautions. Since the weather is getting colder and the flu season is right around the corner, the virus can get confused with the flu symptoms; therefore we here at Little Brainiacs will be taking some more extra precautions to continue to make sure we keep all of your little ones safe and healthy.

These extra precautions include:

NEW STEPS TAKEN:

1) Temperature will be taken at the door before entering through the mouth and/or under the arm depending on how your little one allows me to take it. The thermometer will be sterilized after every use.

2) Mrs. V will be wearing a mask now and if your little one is able to wear a mask, please provide him/her with it during our program time; we do understand that this will be difficult for the smaller ones.

3) Parents are asked to also wear a mask when they drop off and pick up their little ones as well. We also ask if parents can continue to drop and pick up their child 3 feet away and have your little ones walk to the door in the morning and to you in the afternoon.

4) We ask for parents to bring their little ones in appropriate warm clothing for the weather now that are washed and cleaned.

We will continue to do:

1) Daily sanitize of door handles, sink/sink knobs, washing hands periodically, big toys such as kitchenette, music instruments, construction area, chairs ,counters tops and shelves and constant reminders of the importance to stay sanitize(washing hands/sneezing in elbow etc)

2) For drop off and pick up, we ask parents to stay outside (6 feet away) and your child is asked to walk to the door where I will receive your child from the door. I will sanitize your child’s hands the moment they enter into the premises before they interact or touch any of the other children or toys. Lunch bags will also be wiped down with Lysol wipes. If your child cannot walk yet, only then will the facilitator come outside to help take the child from his/her parents. Parents are not allowed into the facility as now parents are slowly returning back to work.

3) Hands are wash more consistently now, and if they sneeze or cough without covering their mouth/nose; they will be asked to wash their hands right away.

4) If your child or child’s family member within the house hold shows any symptoms below, a COVID test is required that states NEGATIVE before that child is able to return back to Little Brainiacs once they are symptom free for 24 hours. A copy of that test needs to be provided for your child’s file:

  • Fever
    *Coughing Consistently
    *Body Aches
    *Trouble Breathing

5) If your child has been affected or anyone in the household has been affected or in contact with anyone with COVID 19, he/she would have to be quarantine for 14 days per the Ministry of Health policy before returning back to Little Brainiacs. A COVID test stating NEGATIVE has to be shown to the owner for the child’s file upon return.

Doing your Part:

We do ask for all parents to also wash your child’s hands and change their clothes the moment they are home and if can, take a bath to also assist in any germs being transferred. These are some precaution that is stated under Ontario Ministry of Health.

We also ask parents to talk to their children and remind them the importance of sneezing and or coughing in their sleeves as well as washing their hands and not putting toys in their mouth are ways to provide knowledge and avoidance to spread germs.

We thank you for your understanding and together we will continue to provide a safe and secure atmosphere for your child(ren)

Please Note: If misleading information is given, your child will be terminated or not accepted into our program. These precautions are only during the time of the pandemic. Once the government declares that its all clear and done; Little Brainiacs will resume back to normal policy and procedures.

Sincerely,
Sharda Viswakula (Mrs.V))
